Guidelines to the Hatchlings classes:

We have begun a Beginners Series, which we call Photoshop Hatchlings. It is a series of lessons intended to be a basic introduction to Photoshop or PSP. The Photoshop tutorials are written in CS 2, so are good for anyone who has series CS - CS 3. The PSP Series is accepting only versions 9 and up.

1. There will be 15 lessons that will teach the basics of all the tools in Photoshop or PSP, and 2 challenges. PSP classes are separate from Photoshop classes. When you are finished with the course, you will be able to use the tools, and be able to start tackling the more intermediate/advanced tutorials for that program. The lessons are designed to help you create web designs/tags. This is not a photo editing group.
2. Lessons must be completed in order and approved by me or the moderators before you go on to the next lesson.
3. We expect a post from you at least once a week, but you may work faster than that.
4. You will ask your questions and post your results in the next forum--PS Hatchlings Lessons or PSP hatchlings Lessons. You will not need to join a new group.
5. I will reply to your post when your lesson is approved and then you will get the next lesson.
6. When you have completed the course, you will also receive a diploma.
7. You may NOT make any changes to the tutorials. You must do it AS IS.
8. Even our "experienced" members may participate.
9. You may not share the links of these tutorials with anyone--NO ONE
10. There is a separate forum for intermediate/advanced learning of PSP or Photoshop-- the Photoshop Gallery or the PSP Gallery. You do not need to request to join them, just join in -- and yes you may participate there even if you are taking Hatchlings lessons.

Now, Instructions to join:

1. you must REGISTER to join this forum! (At very top of the screen under the Dragon's Breath banner is a Register button)
2. After registering, return to this forum. Click on New topic. in the message body type:
a. Your name/username
b. whether you want to learn Photoshop or PSP
c. what version of Photoshop or PSP do you have?
d. how long have you used the program?
e. a statement that you will follow the guidelines of this forum and hatchlings class.

3. Place a check in the box that says: Notify me when a reply is posted"

4. Click submit

When I get your message, I will set you up in the hatchlings forum (which you cannot see until I make you a member) and then you can get started on your lessons.
